Description
North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code 333411, FSC 6640. Air Filtration Units, 4 each, Units shall consist of four (4) stages of filtration; pre-filter, HEPA, 2 stages of carbon adsorbers and a second particulate filter section a s required by CSDP paragraph 2-2(14). Residence time in carbon filters shall be 0.25 seconds (combined) as required by MIL_HDBK-144. Units shall be furnished with built-in probe assembly to enable scanning upstream of the filters. Probe nozzle shall provid e for isokenetic sampling at 1,000 cfm and readings at 50 percent (500 cfm) and 200 percent (2,000 cfm). Unit shall be equipment with separate magnahelic gauges for the pre-filter and HEPA filter sections, static pressure tap, decon port and scan port. Fi lter units shall be constructed of 304 stainless steel, 100 percent seam welded joints with factory drilled inlet and outlet duct connection flanges, removable weather cap, lifting lugs and bag-out shelf. Units shall be designed and constructed for flow ra tes to support Labconco 5 foot XStream laboratory fume hood, Model 9840500. Testing of the units shall be by the pressure decay method as specified in ANSI/ASME N510 with a maximum allowable leak rate of 0.0005 cfm per cubic feet of filter housing volume at 10 inches WC. The complete specifications will be attached to the solicitation. Electronic bid submission will ONLY be accepted in response to this solicitation IF and ONLY IF the completed solicitation is included as an attachment in its ENTIRETY. O therwise, all proposals must be faxed or mailed in by the specified date and time. This statement supersedes any other guidance regarding electronic bid submission. This will be a Firm Fixed Price contract and is a Total Small Business Set-Aside. Require d delivery schedule is 4 months after date of contract award. All contractors who provide goods/services to the DOD must be registered in the Central Contractors Register (CCR). You may register via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov or contact CCR at 1- 888-227-2423. Approximate issue date is 14 Sept 2007 with the opening date 7 days from issue. The solicitation shall be issued via the Internet at http://www.osc.army.mil/ac/aais/ioc and https://acquisition.army.mil/asfi and http://www.fedbizopps.gov. A ny changes to the solicitation shall also be posted to these websites. It is the responsibility of the contractor to check these sites daily for any posted changes.
