- Description
- The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center, San Diego (SSC San Diego), intends to issue a firm fixed priced Sole Source purchase order to Rapiscan Systems under Request for Quotation N66001-07-Q-1091 for a follow-on task awarded and developed under a previous Department of Homeland Security (DHS) contract (N66001-05-D-6020). The current requirement requires additional tasking to and include automated threat detection and software enhancement as follows: (1) Perform radiographic testing of contractor- supplied test objects based on recently furnished specifications and of special test objects to be supplied by Domestic Nuclear Detection Office (DNDO). (2) Analyze the image data resulting from these tests and make appropriated modifications to the automatic threat detection software. This sole source procurement utilizing simplified acquisition procedures in accordance with FAR Part 13. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 541710, and the small business size standard number of employee is 500. Central Contractor Registration is required for all vendors doing business with Department of Defense and can be obtained at www.ccr.gov.
