- The Naval Medical Logistics Command intends to negotiate on a sole source basis (IAW FAR 6.302) with Industrial Acoustics Company (IAC), 1160 Commerce Ave, Bronx, NY 10462 as the only responsible source that can provide the Ultrasonic Cleaners as requirement by Naval Medical Expeditionary Support Command. In compliance with the Ship?s 3-M Manual, OPNAVINST 4790.4D, the Defense Medical Standardization Board (DMSB), Deployable Medical System (DEPMEDS) program and the Command?s initiative to enhance Integrated Logistic Support (ILS) for shipboard applications, the only technically acceptable item which has (ILS) support is the Audio Booth manufactured by Industrial Acoustics Company. The Audio Booth is required to fit in an exact location within the parameters of the existing ship space. The Industrial Acoustics Audio Booth is a one-for-one replacement and is designed to meet the measurement requirements in the space available. It has been determined that no other manufacturer makes an Audio Booth to these specifications. This acquisition is being conducted under simplified acquisition procedures. There are no set-aside restrictions for this requirement. The intended procurement will be classified under North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) 334510 with a Small Business Size Standard of 500 employees. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals and no solicitation document exists for this requirement. However, parties interested in responding to this notice shall submit technical data, including cost, sufficient to determine capability in providing the same product. All capability statements received by closing of this notification of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Service will usually be performed in Baltimore, MD 21224. Based on the above information, the only technically acceptable maintenance is provided by Industrial Acoustics Company.
