- The Department of Veterans Affairs Medical Center, VISN 6 Centralized Acquisition Service, intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with the AGFA Healthcare Corporation, 100 Challenger Road, Ridgefield Park, NJ 07660-2199. This proposed contract action is for providing Hardware and Software Support for the Talk Station Radiology Client System (US English w/Dragon) at the VA Medical Centers (VAMC's) in Richmond and Salem, VA, Durham and Salisbury, NC, and Beckley, WV. The VA intends to procure this requirement on a sole source basis in accordance with the statutory authority of 41 U.S.C. 253(c) (1) as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The proposed period of the contract will be for one (1) year. NAICS Code 333293 applies to this procurement. THIS NOTICE IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE QUOTES and no solicitation will be issued; however, any firm that believes it can meet the requirements may give written notification to the Contracting Officer within 5 days from the date of the publication of this synopsis. Supporting evidence must be furnished in sufficient detail to demonstrate the ability to comply with the requirement listed. Responses are due by September, 20, 2007 at 3:00pm EST and can be sent to VA Medical Center - Hampton, ATTN: Timothy Vaughn (90C), 100 Emancipation Drive, Bldg. 27, Hampton, VA 23667 or email to Timothy.Vaughn1@med.va.gov. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract based on responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Telephone or faxed inquiries will not be accepted. If no responses are received, the VA Medical Center will proceed with a sole source negotiation with AGFA Healthcare Corporation.
