- Description
- The Department of Justice, Facilities and Administrative Services Staff, intends to issue a commercial item purchase order, subject to the availability of FY08 funds, on a sole source basis to VERIZON WASHINGTON, DC INC, for continued use of the existing 750 MHZ Super Trunking [fiber] circuit connection between the buildings located at 950 Pennsylvania Ave., NW, Washington and 20 Massachusetts Avenue, NW, Washington, DC. The award will be a base period and four option periods as follows: the Base Period - October 1, 2007 thru September 30, 2008. Option Period I - October 1, 2008 thru September 30, 2009. Option Period II - October 1, 2009 thru September 30, 2010.Option Period III - October 1, 2010 thru September 30, 2011. Option Period IV - October 1, 2011 thru September 30, 2012. This requirement will be procured in accordance with FAR Subpart 12.6, Subpart 13.106 and Subpart 13.5. FAR 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications - Commercial Items, must be completed and included with any and all quotes submitted in response to this synopsis. FAR Clauses 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions - Commercial Items is hereby incorporated by reference. The Clause 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required to Implement Statues or Executive Orders - Commercial Items is hereby incorporated by reference. FAR Clause 52.217-9 ( MAR '00) OPTION TO EXTEND THE TERM OF THE A CONTRACT (a) The Government may extend the term of this contract by written notice to the Contractor within 15 days; provided that the Government shall give the Contractor a preliminary written notice of its intent to extend at least 30 days before the contract expires. The preliminary notice does not commit the Government to an extension. (b) If the Government exercises this option, the extended contract shall be considered to include this option provision. The total duration of this contract, including the exercise of any option under this clause, shall not exceed 60 months. FAR Clauses, 52-217-9 (MAR '00) Option For Increased Quantity and 52.216-4 (JAN '97) Economic Price Adjustment, are also hereby incorporated by reference. All referenced FAR clauses may be accessed at www.acqnet.gov.http://www.acqnet.gov Responses received as a result of this notice of intent shall be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Responses will not be considered as either proposals or bids. A determination by the Government not to open this requirement to competition, based upon the written responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the Government.
