- Description
- The purpose of this modificaiton is to show the following questions and answers on Solicitation Number M07PC14669. What is the required scanning dpi? 200dpi or 300dpi What building at the Fed Center will the government computer be setup at? Building 85 Can the scanning take place at a different building from the location of the government computer at the Federal Center? Yes, but the Government will need to know what documents are being transferred (both ways) and when. The final output is a PDF image but what are the output requirements for the indexing/metadata? We are requesting document type, date scanned, and perhaps a batch number or description . How is the PDF image to be named? It may depend on the document type and batch. The decision has not yet been made to the degree of specificity you are requesting. Can we leave our scanner, PC and software onsite all the time or do we need to remove after each job order? Yes you may leave the PC and software onsite all the time. We have a secure building on a secured campus. However, we may not be able to lock up the PC and software within the building. I have a few questions regarding the above referenced request for proposals. In particular, what indexing/metadata fields do you anticipate needing, what kind of data will we be providing, and how should the data be delivered? Answer: We are requesting document type, date scanned, and perhaps a batch number or description - all of which can easily be entered at the time of scanning, so we do not anticipate a need for sending the data anywhere except for writing to a "thumb" drive or CD-ROM to transfer the scanned PDF files to the MMS system, as per the solicitation. Should a proposal include sending the data externally either electronically in a physical medium, the transmitted data must be encrypted. NOTE: THIS NOTICE WAS NOT POSTED TO FEDBIZOPPS ON THE DATE INDICATED IN THE NOTICE ITSELF (17-SEP-2007); HOWEVER, IT DID APPEAR IN THE FEDBIZOPPS FTP FEED ON THIS DATE. PLEASE CONTACT fbo.support@gsa.gov REGARDING THIS ISSUE.
