Description
FAA's Enterprise Data Center's require the ability to: o Rapidly enable complex consolidation and virtualization efforts by collecting and analyzing data gathered from large groups of servers and providing actionable plans. o Insure optimization going forward. o Provide detailed reporting on the inventory, change, configuration and workload of servers. In accordance with the FAA Acquisition Management System (FAAAMS) paragraph 3.2.2.4, to inform industry of the basis of the FAA's decision to contract with a selected source via single source procedures. The FAA William J. Hughes Technical Center intends to award a single contract to CiRBA. CiRBA's Data Center Intelligence (server consolidation analysis) software has been identified as the only source available to be effective in FAA's complex, heterogeneous environment by providing all of the following features: o Support ALL server consolidation strategies including: § Virtualization § Application Consolidation § Database Consolidation o Consider and allow for analysis modeling of all constraints including: § Business constraints § Configuration constraints § Workload constraints o Must be able to provide for cross-platform analytics coverage including: § Windows § Linux § Solaris § HP-UX § AIX § AS400 o Flexible data collection methods § Agentless § Agent based o Allow for modeling of consolidation onto BOTH new and existing hardware o Provide visual mapping of compatibility analysis o Provide analysis rulesets based upon best practices o Allow for the modification of rulesets where/when necessary o Provide Detailed reporting on: § Required remediation for execution of consolidation § Any changes to analyzed servers over time § Changes to analysis results at any point in time A competitive solicitation is not available for this procurement. If you're firm does not agree with this single source determination, please provide evidence of your firm's capabilities and proven experience in providing the above software product, the FAA will evaluate this accordingly.
