Description
The Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) at the Mike Monroney Aeronautical Center (MMAC), In Oklahoma City, Oklahoma has a requirement for the acquisition of 435 Stacking Pallet Racks 54"H X 48"D X 53"W, NSN 3990-01-227-6002. Two (2) firm-fixed-price purchase orders will be awarded to Federal Prison Industries, INC (UNICOR), Lexington, Kentucky. One (1) purchase order will issued for a quantity of 210 and one (1) purchase order will issued with a quantity of 225. UNICOR is a self supporting, wholly owned Government-owned, corporation of the District of Columbia that provides training and employment for prisoners confined to federal penal and correctional institutes through the sale of it products and services to Government agencies. The FAA has solicited vendors for the procurement, then will issue the award to the source offering the product that the FAA determines will provide the best value to the Government. This Notice is for informational purposes for Minority, Women-Owned and Disadvantaged Business Enterprises: The Department of Transportation (DOT), Office of Small and Disadvantaged Business Utilization, has a program to assist small businesses, small businesses owned and controlled by a socially and economically disadvantaged individuals, and women-owned concerns to acquire short-term working capital assistance for transportation-related contracts. Loans are available under the DOT Short Term Lending Program (STLP) at prime interest rates to provide accounts receivable financing. The maximum line of credit is $750,000.
