Description
This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6, using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/ ). The RFQ number is N00189-07-T-0633. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. The clauses may be accessed in full text at these addresses: www.acqnet.gov/far and http://www.acq.osd.mil/dpap/dfars/index.htm . The NAICS code is 334290 Other Communications Equipment Manufacturing and the Small Business Standard is 750 Employees. This is a 100% Small ! Business Set-Aside. The Fleet and Industrial Supply Center Norfolk requests responses from qualified sources capable of providing JSF Technologies Solar Powered crosswalk beacons with controllers, 9ft aluminum poles, solar panels and all mounting hardware necessary to install the units. This requirement will be procured on a Brand Name or Equal basis. JSF Technologies address is JSF Technologies, 6771 Kirkpatrick Crescent, Saanichton, BC, Canada, V8M 1Z8, and Telephone: (250) 544-1640. (CLIN 0001): QTY 30 of JSF Technologies Solar Crosswalk Flashing Lights #AB-2412. The specifications are as follows: Being solar powered, the system requires no wiring, trenching, or roadwork. The beacon is activated by an industry standard pedestrian pushbutton. The units are rated for 1200 activations per day. Units have eight different flash patterns. The units use high intensity LED’s. Inter-beacon Radio Communication: ISM 902-928 Mhz spread spectrum, Transmission Range: 900 feet and 16 unique addresses for multiple units in close proximity. Flash Patterns: MUTCD ½ second on, ½ second off and JSF High Visibility Strobe. Materials: Brackets: 6061-T6 powder coated aluminum. Environmental Requirements: Operating Temperature -40°F to +165°F, Minimum daily solar insolation 0.8 hours, Maximum installation latitude 56° N/S, and operates at rated usage for 100+ days without solar charging. Unit is built for top of pole mounting to a 4” pole; solar panel, batteries, a! nd controller are included in this unit. The unit shall be federal yellow in color. (CLIN 0002): QTY 30 of 4” sch 40 aluminum pole 9’ tall with breakaway pedestrian base, anchor bolts (3/4”), ADA style pedestrian push button. Total overall height of pole with base is 10’. Pole and base are natural aluminum in color. Note: All proposed items must meet the Institution of Transportation Engineers (ITE) Specifications. Required delivery is 30 days after contract award. FOB Destination to Patuxent River, MD 20670. Responsibility and Inspection: unless otherwise specified in the order, the supplier is responsible for the performance of all inspection requirements and quality control.
