Description
NAICS Code: 562211 In accordance with FAR Part 12 Commercial Acquisition Procedures, the U.S. EPA ORD requires disposal of radioactive waste from EPA facilities located in the Cincinnati Metropolitan area. The contractor shall provide EPA with all necessary labor, supervision, supplies, equipment, and materials necessary to remove, dismantle, prepare for packaging, package, load, transport, and dispose of radioactive waste including contaminated equipment/items, etc. The contractor shall also obtain and/or assist the waste generating facility in obtaining, when required by law, all permits, and other forms of documentation required in order to comply with the law and regulations of any state, county, township, or municipal subdivision thereof or other governmental agency which may be applicable to the removal, transportation and subsequent disposal of the radioactive waste or contaminated equipment/items. In addition, the contractor shall satisfy all disposal facility access requirements, including fees, etc. Call Orders are issued under a 3 year Blanket Purchase Agreement (BPA) by the authorized ordering officer. This procurement is a small business set-aside under NAICS code 562211 with a size standard of $10, 500,000. Award will be made using "lowest price, technically acceptable" evaluation criteria. All responsible sources may submit a quote which shall be considered by the Agency. Any firm believing itself capable of providing the required chemical and hazardous waste disposal services must request a copy of the RFQ in writing within fifteen (15) days of electronic posting of this notice. Requests should be submitted in writing to Courtney Whiting via email at whiting.courtney@epa.gov. Telephone responses and fax responses will not be honored.
