Description

The Department of Veterans Affairs, Ann Arbor Healthcare System, 2215 Fuller Road, Ann Arbor, Michigan 48105 intends to negotiate a sole source procurement with Finapres Medical Systems, 812 Webber Pond Road, Vassalboro, ME 04989. The proposed contract is for one Finometer Pro System, Model 1. The Finometer Pro is a non-invasive blood pressure measurement and beat-to-beat circulatory monitoring device. It will be used as part of a psychophysiological biofeedback treatment system in our outpatient clinic. The Government intends to solicit and negotiate with only one source under authority of FAR 6.302-1(a)(2). All FAR provisions and clauses may be reviewed and/or obtained from the General Service Internet address: http//www.arnet.gov/far. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals. All information shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. A determination not to compete this proposed contract, based upon responses received, will be made entirely at the discretion of the Government. Information received will be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Offeror must complete and return all information designated in FAR 52.212-1 Instructions to Offers - Commercial Items. All responses must be received no later than Tuesday, September 25, 2007 at 2:00pm EST. Telephone and internet responses will not be accepted. The North American Industry Classification Code (NAICS) Code for this procurement is 423450.
