Description

It is the Government's intent to negotiate on a sole-source basis, pursuant to FAR 6.302-1, for BASOPS Services for the Departments of Public Works and Logistics, Fort Rucker, Alabama, with the incumbent contractor, Shaw Infrastructure, Inc., for the interim six-month period 27 January 2008 through 26 July 2008 by means of a contract modification to the existing contract DABT60-01-C-0002, in order to prevent a lapse in service. This one-time extension has become necessary because of unanticipated dela ys in the pre-award process for the new competitive acquisition. The contractor will provide all personnel, expertise and other service to perform Public Works and Logistics functions at the US Army Garrison, Fort Rucker Alabama. A new competitive follow-o n contract is currently being prepared for a base year and four one-year options to begin on or about 27 July 2008 through on or about 26 July 2013. No solicitation documents exist at this time. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive propos als or a solicitation of offers from interested parties, and is posted for 10 days.
