Description

NOTICE: Only local sources will be considered under this solicitation. Local sources are sources (e.g., corporations or partnerships) that are physically located in Japan and authorized (i.e., licensed and registered) to perform in Japan, the type of work specified in this solicitation. Specifically, a prospective offeror must be duly authorized to operate and conduct business in Japan and must fully comply with all laws, decrees, labor standards, and regulations of Japan during the performance of t he resulting contracts. In addition, prior to award of the contracts, offerors must be registered with the Government of Japan to do work in Japan and possess necessary licenses and permits to perform work required under this solicitation. PROJECT DESCRIP TION: Service is required to conduct an asbestos survey for Buildings 4408 1st and 4th floor, Yokota Hospital, Yokota Air Base, Japan. The solicitation (RFQ) W912HV-07-T-0034 will be issued and made available on or about 20 September 2007 with the due dat e of 25 September 2007 at 1100 hours, (11:00am) Japan Standard Time to Contracting Division, Procurement Branch, Attn: Perl Cadawan. Information regarding specifications will be made available through the Federal Technical Data Solution (FedTeDS) web page at http://www.fedteds.gov. FedTeDS is a web-based dissemination tool designed to safeguard acquisition- related information for all federal agencies. Prospective offeror must first be registered with the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) which is req uired by Federal Regulations (See FAR 52.204-7004) to be awarded this project and payment from any DOD activity. Information on registration may be obtained by calling 1-888-227-2423 or via the Internet at http://www.ccr.gov. Registration requires an appl icant to have a DUNS number from Dun & Bradstreet. Recommend registering immediately in order to be eligible for timely award. The Safety & Health Requirements (EM 385-1-1) is available at http://www.poj02.usace.army.mil/Contracting/index.html.
