- -The 355th Contracting Squadron intends to issue a sole-source procurement action with Sonora Medical Systems, Inc. for repair, maintenance and diagnostic use of First Call diagnostic systems to evaluate effective use transducers of two ultrasound systems under a preventative maintenance agreement. Sonora Medical Systems, Inc. is the only manufacturer/source able to provide parts and service for the FirstCall quantative transducer tester Patent # US 6,920,776 US 6,928,856, US 7,007,539 and US 7,028,529 ? Others Pending, to be used on Model # HDI 5000 ultrasound system (C7-4 transducer, L7-4 transducer, L12-5 transducer, C5-2 transducer) and Model # Antares ultrasound system (CH6-2 transducer, PH4-1 transducer, VF7-3 transducer, EC9-4 transducer, VFX13-5 transducer). Conducted under FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy the Requirement. This is a notice of intent to award a sole source procurement action and is not a request for competitive proposals. Firms who want to challenge the sole source must submit an interest letter that demonstrates your firm?s ability to provide an equivalent supply as described above. Interested parties must provide rationale as to why they should be considered. All interested firms must respond to carlos.ramirez@dm.af.mil in reference to RFQ number FA4877-07-Q-0056 by 21 September 2007, 8:00 A.M. PST to SrA Carlos Ramirez, 355th Contracting Squadron, and 3180 S Craycroft Rd., Tucson, AZ 85707. Telephone: 520-228-2216, Fax: 520-228-5284. Responses received will be evaluated; however, a determination by the Government not to compete the proposed procurement based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion for the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. The 355th Contracting Office will not reimburse for any costs connected with providing the capability information.
