- Description
- The Air Force Research Laboratory Information Directorate, Rome, NY intends to solicit and negotiate a sole source purchase under the authority of FAR 6.302-1 with DRC Computer Corporation, 1178 Bordeaux Drive, Sunnyvale CA, 94089 for one (1) DS2004 Customized Development Configuration System. Though this notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations, information received by the response date of the solicitation will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed purchase order based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. The NAICS code for this procurement is 334111. Sole Source Justification: AFRL/IFTC requires a DRC Computer DS2004 development system in order to investigate customized state-of-the art development platforms specifically designed to advance technologies related to computation intensive processing that is not bandwidth limited. DRC Computer Corporation is the sole proprietor of this technology and the sole organization that AFRL/IFTC can acquire this system from. The DRC Computer DS2004 development system incorporates two AMD Dual-Core Opteron processors with 4GB main memory each and two RPU110-L200 Field Programmable Gate Array processors with 2GB main memory each.
