- Description
- This is a COMBINED SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION for commercial items prepared in accordance with the information in FAR Subpart 12.6; using Simplified Acquisition Procedures under the test program for commercial items found at FAR 13.5, as supplemented with the additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; a written solicitation will not be issued. PAPER COPIES OF THIS SOLICITATION WILL NOT BE AVAILABLE. This combined synopsis/solicitation SHALL be posted on both FEDBIZOPPS and NECO (http://www.neco.navy.mil/). The RFQ number is N00189-07-T-N008. It is the responsibility of the contractor to be familiar with the applicable clauses and provisions. This is a sole source, with Putnam Technology, Inc 1720 McCoba Drive, Suite A, Smyrna, GA 30080. FISC Norfolk Naval Shipyard Contracting Depart! ment anticipates awarding a firm-fixed price contract for the following: 0001: Low Radiation Background Counting Shield. Qty 1, designed for bulk counting of large item and bulk waste, housing four 3” x 5: x 15 “ Nal detectors. Shield with sample cavity of 26” D x 38” H, shielded by 4.0” lead, steel outer casing, graded inner tin/polished copper liner, low Z detector guards. Modular design facilitate assembly/installation, lifting brackets, counter elevated with 8” legs, subassemblies able to fit through 35” door opening access ports (4” dia) on both sides of shield to accommodate installation of HPGe detectors with back shield. An extendable sample tray to front load or unload samples, front sliding doors on guide rails with locking latch. Electromechanical Door Actuator Assembly for model BULC bulk counter shield. Specifications included low voltage control circuitry, near closed and fully closed door dogic, and mechanical safety override with adjustable closing/o! pen force device. All deliverables shall be FOB DESTINATION, Norfolk Naval Shipyard, Portsmouth, VA 23709-5000. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit a quote, which shall be considered by the agency. Central Contractor Registration (CCR). Quoters must be registered in the CCR database to be considered for award. Registration is free and can be completed on-line at http://www.ccr.gov/. Parties responding to this request for quotation may submit their quote in accordance wit their standard commercial practices (e.g. company letterhead, quote form, etc.) but must include the following: 1) Complete mailing/remittance address (s), 2) Payment Terms, 3) Delivery Schedule, 4) Taxpayer ID#, 5) FOB Point, 6) GSA contract number if applicable, and 7) Business size. Quotes over 10 pages in total will not be accepted by facsimile. Each response must clearly indicate the capability of the quoter to meet all specifications and requirements. This announcement will close at 4:00 pm on 24 September 2007.
