Description
Provide Ambulance Litter/Stretcher Transportation Service for beneficiaries of the Department of Veterans Affairs, Central Alabama Veterans Health Care System (CAVHCS), Montgomery and Tuskegee, Alabama. Contractor shall have available up to a total of four (4) vehicles for services between the hours of 6:00 a.m. and 8:00 p.m., Monday through Friday including all Federal Holidays. Contractor shall have available two (2) vehicles 24 hours per day on weekends. Contractor shall have available a minimum two (2) vehicles between the hours of 8:00 p.m. and 6:00 a.m., Monday through Friday. Transportation must be available at destination point within a 45 minutes time frame from the time of transport call, providing final destination is within the ten-mile radius or is within the area outlined as city limits. This contract includes a base year (one year from date of award), with two one-year renewal options that may be exercised at the discretion of the Government. The total contract period shall not exceed three years. This solicitation is issued as a commercial item in accordance with FAR Part 12 and shall be evaluated in accordance with FAR Part 15. RFP VA-247-07-RP-246 is advertised as a 100% set-aside for small business concerns with a NAICS Code 621910 and a size standard of $6.5M. Only offers from those firms regularly established in the business of providing ambulance service will be considered. All responsible sources may submit a proposal, which shall be considered by the agency. Interested Offerors may obtain an electronic copy of the solicitation free at the URL address. Offerors are advised that they are responsible for obtaining amendments.
