- Description
- At this time we are conducting a sources sought survey to determine sources available for a new plastic zip lock bag in the GSA Stock program. NSN 8105-00-137-9131 (See full item purchase description below)a cushioned zip lock closure bag has estimated requirements over a 5 year period of about $2.5 mil in sales. The procurement method being evaluated will be a competive 8a set aside. If your firm is interested and is please email Lonnie.Cummings@gsa.gov with your contact info and any questions. Responses are due by Oct 4th 2007 NSN: 8105-00-137-9131 Type - Cushioned Size - 12 x 12 inches nominal The bags shall be imprinted in red or blue lettering with the following legend: "REUSABLE - DO NOT DISCARD" Construction. Bags shall be flat style with a zip lock closure. Bags shall be provided with an interlocking seal closure extending the full width of the bag, located not less than 1.3 cm (1/2 ") nor more than 1.9 cm (3/4 ") from the top of the bag when measured to the middle of the seal. The interlocking seal shall close by applying pressure with the fingers to the seal area and shall open by pulling apart each side of the seal with the fingers. Physical requirements. Bags furnished under this description shall be made from plastic sheet which has a Breaking Factor of not less than 0.6 Newton (4.3 lbs) in machine direction and 0.4 Newton (3.0 lbs) in transverse direction, when tested in accordance with ASTM D 882. REGULATORY REQUIREMENTS: Certification (plastic). The contractor shall certify that the item contains a minimum of 25% Post Consumer Material (PCM), in accordance with Code 40 of Federal Regulations Part 247. The Government reserves the right to require proof of such conformance prior to first delivery, and thereafter as may be otherwise provided for under the provisions of the contract. PACKAGING/PACKING: Fifty (50) bags shall be packaged in accordance with normal commercial practice and packed to assure acceptance by common carrier and to provide product protection against loss or damage during multiple shipments, handling and storage. The shipping container shall be in compliance with the National Motor Freight Classification and the Uniform Freight Classification, and shall not be more than 51 pounds in weight.
