Description

Red River Army Depot, Texarkana, TX intends to issue a solicitation, resulting in a requirement type contract for a base and two option years. Award will be made to the overall low bidder offering the best value to the government. Items required: Flux, Linde PN 350; estimated quantity 58,600 pounds. Flux may not be substituted. Welding Wire L-60 or equal ( 1000 lbs speed drum), estimated quantity 40,500 pounds. Must meet MIL-E-18193 Type Mil-A1. Welding Wire Stoody PN 107 or equal (500 pound drum ), estimated quantity is 28,000 pounds. Must meet MIL-E-24403 or AWS A5.20 or A5-23. Samples of items are required for testing prior to award unless a waiver is approved. Interested firms are requested to contract William Bono, William.H.Bono@us.army.mil to schedule shipment and receipt of wire and flux for testing only. Firms passing qualification testing will be added to the qualified suppliers list and inlcuded in any future procurement actio0ns for welding wire and flux.
