- Sources Sought Notice only. This is not a request for quotes or proposals. No formal solicitation document exists at this time. Seeking Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (VOSB), Service-Disabled Veteran-Owned Small Businesses (SDVOSB), or other small businesses capable of providing biomedical waste service for the VA Gulf Coast Veterans Health Care System, Biloxi, MS, VA Outpatient Clinic and Mental Health Clinic North, Pensacola, FL and the Panama City Community Based Clinic, Panama City, FL. Based upon response to this notice and identified contractors, future solicitation may be separate for these locations or they may be combined. The contractor shall furnish all labor, equipment, vehicles, containers and materials incidental to the collection and disposal of bio-hazardous medical waste from the schedule and designated pickup points. The contractor shall maintain and repair the containers as needed. The contractor must possess all licenses and permits required to provide the services in accordance with federal, state, and local regulations. The contractor shall provide the VA with manifests for all biomedical waste removed from the site and a tracking method. Contractor should be prepared to bill by weight not by container. The NAICS code is 562211 and the small business size standard is $11.5 million. Responses to this notice should include the following: Name and address of company/provider (phone number and email of point of contact); indicate whether or not small business and whether or not contractor falls into any of the following socioeconomic categories - 8 (a), HUBZone, Women, Veteran owned, and/or Service-disabled Veteran Owned; contractor's experience in providing medical waste pickup and disposal and any other pertinent information which demonstrates contractor's ability to meet the above requirement.
