Description
The US Army Medical Research Acquisition Activity intends to award a sole source purchase order to CH Technologies (USA) Inc. 263 Center Ave, Westwood, NJ 07675-1701 for inhalation exposure system which will enable safe delivery of toxic agents and t he ability to deliver powder treatments drugs to the lungs by aerosolization. The highly toxic agent nose-only system is a patented nose-only exposure system that was specifically designed to be used safely when employing chemical warfare agents. The paten ted design reduces dead space which allows for the use of smaller agents amounts to achieve a desired exposure concentration. This highly toxic nose-only system has a multi axis rotation design that allows for a 360 degree roll to ensure that the decontam ination solution reaches every portion of the system that is exposed to agent. The dimensions of this system also conform to the size constraints that we have for housing this system. This procurement will be executed under Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR) 6.302-1, Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. CH Technologies was the only system found to have a multi-axis rotation design that allows for a 360 degree roll to ensure decontamination soluti on reached every portion of the system exposed to agent. This feature alone reduces risk to personnel and labor time and cost in decontaminating exposed areas. This is not a request for a competitive quote. Any response to this notice must be submitted in writing to the Government providing clear and convincing evidence that another source is capable of meeting the Governments requirements and that competition of the requirement would be advantageous to the Government. All responses will be considered, b ut the Contracting Officer retains the right to determine the procurement strategy, based on available information. If no written responses are received by 12 Noon on September 27, 2007, the purchase will be awarded without further notice. See FedBizOpps Note 22.
