- PERIOD OF PERFORMANCE: The individual will work for approximately 12 months, but may be terminated upon completion of the project. BASE PERIOD: October 1, 2007 through September 30, 2008 Service Quantity (Hours) Hourly Total Primary Care 2080 _______ _______ Compliance Assistant Job Summary: The Compliance Assistant will assist the WRJ CBIO with duties of the Compliance and Business Integrity Officer. The Compliance Assistant will assist with Compiling and analyze data; monitoring and auditing of risk areas; orienting and educating staff on Compliance; organizing and maintaining policies, procedures, and reports. The Compliance Assistant will assist WRJ CBIO with various reports for facility, Network and Central Office. The skills required strong verbal and written communication skills; knowledge of laws and regulations governing business and healthcare industry standards; health care organization regulations by various agencies (Medicare, federal rules and regulations, JCAHO); Knowledge of VA policies and federal regulations preferred. Education & Experience: BA/BS preferred. Knowledge of medical terminology and proficiency with diagnosis and CPT-4 coding experience necessary-credentialed CCS, RHIT, CCS or CPC preferred, Experience in related field of health care insurance billing; Compliance; and auditing experience preferred. Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel; power point and graphs.
