- Description
- 1. THIS IS NOT A NOTICE OF SOLICITATION. The Naval Air Systems Command Aviation Support Equipment Program Office (PMA260) held an Industry Day on 20 & 21 September 2007 at the Baltimore Convention Center. Thank you for those who attended the eCASS Industry Day and participated in the one-on-one sessions. The purpose of the event was to provide industry with program insight and to solicit feedback from interested industry representatives regarding an initiative to replace existing U.S. Navy Consolidated Automated Support System (CASS) Automated Test Equipment with a modernized replacement, commonly referred to as eCASS. 2. The purpose of this posting is to provide the eCASS Industry Day briefing slides. We are extending the period for industry day follow-up question/comment submittals to 05 October 2007. Currently, responses are being prepared to address the questions that were received at Industry Day and the one-on-one sessions. These responses will be released as soon as possible. Those questions that have been designated company proprietary will be answered separately and handled appropriately. Non-proprietary questions, responses and any additional Government program information that may have been conveyed during one-on-one sessions shall be disseminated industry-wide via a follow-on FebBizOps posting. Any responses to questions or information provided are subject to change; as the eCASS requirements and acquisition strategy are finalized. The final Request for Proposal will define NAVAIR's final eCASS requirements. 3. Information provided herein is subject to change and in no way binds the Government to solicit for or award a contract. There is no commitment by the Government to issue a solicitation, to make an award or awards, or to be responsible for any monies expended by any interested parties before award of a contract for the effort mentioned herein. Primary Points of Contact: Questions may be emailed to Jeff Llewellyn at jeffrey.llewellyn@navy.mil or Michael Rod Powell-Salas at michael.powell-salas@navy.mil.
