- The National Institute of Environmental Health Sciences (NIEHS) intends to negotiate on a sole source basis with Agencourt Bioscience Corpration, Beverly, MA 01915, pursuant to 41 U.S.C.253(c)(1)--Only one responsible source and no other supplies or services will satisfy agency requirements. This purchase is for the following items: 1) A35556, (1 each) Upgrade for Agencourt NX FFPE Worksation disposable bags for waste ALP Half reservoir, 75 ml (24/case) Quarter reservoir, 40 ml, (40/case) Frame for reservoirs (qty 2) Biomek half trash ALP kit; software-FormaPure 96- Beckman Biomek Span 8 method- v 3.x; Span-8-P100 tips, presterile with barrier, conductive, 1025 ml, Integrated solution- class 5 static peltier ALP; Peltier ALP Adaptor-96 well round bottom plate, span-8 disposable tips (kit of 8) (assemblies to load tips); 2) (1 each) A32782- Agencourt SPRI Plate 96R Super Magnet (NX); 3) 001324-(1 each) On-site installation and training, FormaPure, 1 day (NX); 4) 001250-(1 each) Software-CosMcPrep 96- BioMek (FX); 5) 001327- (1 each) Application installation and training, 2 day Cos-McPrep (FX); 6) 001249- (1 each) Agencourt cleanseq 384 quad method;(FX) 7) 001244- (1 each) Agencourt AMPure 384 quad method (FX); 8) 000222- (4 each) SPRI-Plate 384 Post Magnet (FX); 9) 001326 (2 each)- Installation & validation, 1 day quad methods (FX); 10) 0001294- (1 each)- Software-FormaPure 96- BioMek (NX) This procurement is for an Agencourt Upgrade for BioMexk FX and NX Workstation to support both plasmid DNA isolation on the existing BioMek FX robot, and DNA isolation from formalin fixed tissues on the BioMex NX robot. Interested parties may identify their interest and capability. Respond to this requirement by submitting written capabilities/specifications to the Contract Specialist at the address stated above. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive proposals; however, all responses received by 12:00 noon, Friday, 9/28/07 will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed contract action based upon responses to this notice is solely with the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. If no affirmative responses are received, an order will be placed with Agencourt. The NAICS Code/Size is 334516/500. This procurement is to be processed using Simplified Acquisition Procedures in conjunction with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and is not expected to exceed the Simplified Acquisition threshold of $100,000.
