- Q1750080001. This solicitation as well as any issued amendments will be available at http://ideasec.nbc.gov website on or about October 11, 2007. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Telephone, fax, or email requests for this solicitation will not be accepted. The work of this contract consists of removing 1,750 cubic yards of sand by clam shell bucket and re-depositing the dredged material along the picnic area east of the marina located less than 100 yards from the dredging site. Any silt/sand containment required for environmental compliance (land & water based) shall be the responsibility of the contractor. Contractor shall also be responsible for removal and re-installation of any pilings, retaining walls, or fences needed to access the designated site. Work is to be performed in the boat channel at Sailors Haven Marina in Fire Island National Seashore, Patchogue, New York. The National Park Service anticipates entering into a firm fixed-price construction contract as a result of this solicitation.. The NAICS code for this project is 237990, Other Heavy and Civil Engineering Construction, with a small business size standard of $28.5 million. To be considered small for purposes of this government procurement, a firm must perform at least 40 percent of the volume dredged with its own equipment or equipment owned by another small dredging concern. This solicitation is set aside for Small Businesses. In accordance with FAR Section 36.204, the estimated price for this project is under $100,000. Work under this contract must be completed by December 31, 2007. Contractors are encouraged to make a site-visit to ascertain existing working conditions. Hard copy quote documents only shall be accepted for this solicitation (no faxed or electronic quote documents will be accepted). Quotes must be received at Acadia National Park, P. O. Box 177, Route 233, McFarland Hill, Bar Harbor, Maine 04609 by close of business on November 1, 2007. A complete quote package shall include one copy of completed SF 18, Request for Quotation, with original signature; completed quote schedule; completed section K, Representations and Certifications: and a list of at least three references of similar work. Quoters must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration website, (http://www.ccr.gov).
