- Description
- This is a SOURCES SOUGHT NOTICE (not a pre-solicitation notice pursuant to FAR Part 5) to determine the capability of potential sources and the availability of commercial sources pursuant to FAR Part 10. This notice is issued by the Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic, Norfolk, VA to identify sources capable of providing a 35 BFM II Boat Hoist for the Coast Guard Sector Sault Saint Marie, MI. A solicitation will be issued shortly and will be synopsized on the Fed Biz Opps Electronic Posting System at www.fbo.gov. It is the potential offer's responsibility to monitor this Fed Biz Opps website for the release of any future solicitation or synopsis. The Hoist must be capable of hoisting 49' BUSL dimensions, Hoist not to exceed outside width of 25'(Boat bay door is 25'wide, 24' high), Hoist must fit pier dimensions of 57'long, 4'6" wide, distance between piers 17'10" (2 Piers are currently in the construction process). Physical characteristics: Length Overall (LOA): 49' 2-1/4" (14.99 meters), Beam (Maximum): 16'10" (4.9 meters), End of Service Draft (Deepest, at the Bottom of the Skegs, Full Load + 2000lbs growth): 5'6" (1.6 meters), Current Draft (Deepest, at the Bottom of the Skegs, Full Load): 5'4" (1.6 meters), Current Draft (Deepest, at the Bottom of the Skegs, Water & Fuel, No Load): 4'8" (1.4 meters), Freeboard at Transom (Maximum): 3'5" (0.9 meters), Highest Fixed Point Above Waterline (with Mast Lowered, Boom Forward, and Preventers Removed) 15' (4.57 meters), Highest Unifixed Point Above Waterline: 27' (8.2 meters), Hoisting Weight: 71,690 pounds (32,517 kg). F.O.B. is Destination. The applicable NAICS Code is 333923 - Boat Lift Manufacturing, with a size standard of 500 people.
