Description

A MARKET SURVEY is being conducted to determine if there are adequate SBA HUBZone certified, SBA 8(a) certified, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned small business contractors for this proposed project which meet the specific criteria for a competitive set-aside award. The proposed project is for Design/Build Security Forces Operations Facility, Scott Air Force Base, IL. The Security Forces Operations Facility project will be approximately 38,000 square feet in size and will include space for offices , weapons storage, ammunition storage, guardmount, fitness room, personal lockers, classrooms, storage, and holding cells. Project will also include providing utilities, parking, landscaping, and demolition of an existing building. The estimated award dat e is March 2008. Contract duration is approximately 500 calendar days. The estimated cost range is between 10,000,000.00 and $25,000,000.00. NAICS code is 236220. All interested certified HUBZONE, 8A, or Service Disabled Veteran Owned Business contractor s should respond to this survey NLT October 10, 2007, 4:00 pm, local time. Responses should include: (1) Identification of the appropriate business category (HUBZONE, 8(a) SDVOB); 2) A letter from your bonding company stating that you are bondable for thi s project; 3) Descriptions of Experience - provide descriptions of projects that will be substantially complete by January 2007 or have been completed within the last five years which are similar to this project in size, scope, and dollar value. Similar in size to this project is defined as new vertical construction that is at least 28,000 square feet in size. Similar in scope to this project is defined as new construction of administrative office space at a minimum. Similar in dollar value to this pro ject is defined as construction projects that cost at least $10,000,000. With each project experience provided, include the date when the project was completed or will be complete, location of the project, your firms role on the project, contract amount, square footage of the new vertical construction, a description of work that was self performed, the percentage of work that was self performed, whether the project was design/build, and a description of how the experience specifically relates to the propo sed project;(4) A statement of the portion of the work that will be self performed on this project, and how it will be accomplished. Responses from proposed joint ventures between large and small business concerns, or contractor team established as a Ment or-Prot?g?, shall state what portion of the work each contractor will self perform. Please include only a narrative of the requested information; addition information will not be reviewed. NOTE: If qualified SBA HUBZONE certified, SBA 8(a) certified or Ser vice Disabled Veteran Owned small business contractors do not respond, this planned action may be an unrestricted competitive procurement. This is not a solicitation announcement or Request for Proposal, nor does it constitute any commitment by the Governm ent. No award will result from this Market Survey. The purpose is to conduct market research to gain knowledge of potentially qualified sources.
