Description

Historic Home for Lease - Water View The National Park Service is seeking proposals for adaptive reuse of a historic home at 510 Cedar Lane in Hopewell, VA. The two story, 4 BR home, built in 1905, is in the City Point Unit of Petersburg National Battlefield (PNB) and contains 3,500 square feet of living area. The Park encourages proposals for use as a B & B or professional offices, or for use by a non-profit entities having missions that are complementary to the mission of PNB. The lease term is negotiable for a period of between one (1) and thirty (30) years. The home is currently weather tight and secure. Successful lessee will be required to make significant specified improvements in order to bring it into compliance with building codes. Rental amount will reflect the required capital investment. Detailed information is contained in the full Request for Proposals, available at park visitor centers and contact stations, on the web at www.nps.gov/pete at the park headquarters offices on Hickory Hill Road in Petersburg or by calling 804/732-3571. All proposals must be received no later than Monday, December 3, 2007 by close of business. Proposals can be hand delivered or mailed to: Superintendent, Petersburg National Battlefield, 1539 Hickory Hill Road, Petersburg, VA 23803. Two site inspection visits will be offered at this house on 510 Cedar Lane, Hopewell, VA during the following dates and times: 1. Saturday, October 27, 2007 at 10:00 A.M. 2.
