Description
The Naval Inventory Control Point (NAVICP) intends to issue five (5) year (one (1) base year with four (4) option years) IDIQ type of contract(s) for the procurement of 464 various configurations of Valves manufactured in accordance with the NAVSEA drawings listed. Requirement is part of the Hull, Mechanical & Electric Standardization Program. The contract(s) will allow for all DOD activities, Shipbuilders under Government contract, and Private/Public shipyards engaged in Navy overhauls to order directly from the contract. Valves are currently managed by Defense Supply Center Columbus. The Vales are manufactured to following Navy drawings with the estimated number of configurations (NSNs) to be procured under each drawing: 803-6397247 (6) 803-4384536 (168) 803-2177934 (97) 803-2177525 (109) 803-1385721 (26) 803-1385712 (3) 803-1385711 (4) 803-1385637 (14) 803-1385541 (37) Please contact the POC for copies of the darwings and list of anticipated NSNs to be procured. Award will be made on a best value basis to the offerors who make the most advantageous offer to the Government. NAVICP intends to make award by NSN. For each NSN, NAVICP intends to make a single award to the eligible, responsible, technically acceptable offeror whose offer, conforming to the solicitation, is determined most advantageous to the Government price and past performance considered Socio-economic set aside determinations have not been made to date. Step ladder quantities and deliveries will be requested. Please respond to the following questions NLT 12 October 2007. 1) Please advise if you are interested in receiving a copy of the solicitation when released. 2) Please advise if there any issues/concerns with the drawings. 3) Please provide business size (large or small) for this commodity 4) Please provide normal production lead time 5) Please provide best estimate of quantity price breaks (EOQs) for various Valves 6) Please provide any restrictions on step ladder delivery dates (i.e. 1 to 5 days, normal production delivery)
