Description
CHEMICAL AGENT MONITOR AND DETECTOR, SIMULATOR AND REMOTE CONTROL, INSTRUCTOR The 12th Contracting Squadron at Randolph AFB intends to award a contract on a Sole-Source basis for the purchase of items listed in the Description of Supplies. This is a streamlined combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotations are being accepted and a written solicitation will not be issued. Reference number ChemicalAgent123 is issued as a request for quotation (RFQ). This requirement is issued as a request for quotation. The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-20. The NAICS Code is 334519; size standard 500 DESCRIPTION OF SUPPLIES/SERVICES A. Following items will be provided: CLIN: 0001 Description: Advanced Chemical Agent Detector, Simulator Manufacturer: Argon Electronics Quantity: 4 CLIN: 0002 Description: Remote Control, Instructor Manufacturer: Argon Electronics Quantity: 1 CLIN: 0003 Description: Chemical Agent Monitor, Simulator Manufacturer: Argon Electronics Quantity: 2 B. Delivery Date: 22 weeks after reciept of order SOLE SOURCE NATURE OF ACQUISTION: IAW 10 U.S.C. 2304c (1) , as implemented by FAR Part 6.302-1-- Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. A Firm Fixed Priced Award will be in accordance with the above Description of Supplies. The government anticipates a sole source award to Argon Electronics through their North American distributor JGW International LTD. JUSTIFICATION: Only one source is capable of responding due to the unique and specialized design of the item; Argon Electronics is the only company that produces the CAMSIM used for Air Force emergency response training, as specified by AFCESA. CONTRACT TERMS AND CONDITIONS Any responsible sources who can provide the above requirement at the prices, terms and conditions, equal to or better than those which can be provided by Argon Electronics should submit clear and convincing data in writing substantiating an ability to furnish the entire requirement.
