- This is a combined Synopsis solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR 12 Sub Part 12.6 as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This amendment clarifies the following: curtain color is indigo, traverse rod is split draw, drapery type is pinch pleat, no curtain or rod removal required, and both dorms will be available for curtain measurement and installation upon arrival of vender. The solicitation is set aside 100% for Small Business. The NAICS code is 314121. The Small Business Size Standard is 500 employees. Description of Services. The contractor shall provide all personnel, equipment, tools, materials and other items and services necessary to perform the installation of black-out draperies in dormitories on F. E Warren AFB WY. The contractor shall be fully responsible for compliance with all base, local, state, and Federal environmental/occupational safety laws, rules and regulations. The contractor shall follow life and safety codes, and take necessary actions to avoid conditions, which may be hazardous to the health and safety of base personnel. Basic Services. No rod and curtain removal is required. Services to be provided include, but are not limited to: Install new split draw traverse rods with sturdy pull cords to window wall with toggle bolts. Fasten new black-out pinch pleat curtains with sturdy hooks on rods using current industry standards. Repair any and all damages to room or building caused by contractor. Notify Unaccompanied Housing Management for all room access. A sample of all products used must be provided to the Contracting Officer for approval prior to any installation. If there is a change to any of the products used, another sample must be provided to the Contracting Officer prior to any installation of the substituted products. Required services to be completed within 90 days from award--both dorms will be available for curtain measurement and installation upon arrival of vender. Prior to installing draperies in any room, the contractor will re-measure the room to confirm measurements previously provided. If there is any difference between the measurements provided by the 90th CES/CEHD personnel and the contractor, the contractor must contact the 90th CES/CEHD prior to starting any work. If the contractor installs draperies prior to an agreement on any difference in measurements, the contractor is accepting the measurements provided by the 90th CES/CDM. DRAPERY INSTALLATION IN DORMITORIES: Dormitory 244 has approximately 70 windows that measure approximately 44 inches X 66 inches. Dormitory 248 has approximately 90 windows that measure approximately. 44.5 inches X 64.5 inches. All measurements are approximate and must be verified by the contractor. Drapery Specifications: Drapery material shall be: Fabricut or equal, Pinch Pleat, Pattern is: Macho, Color is indigo, 54 inches wide with 1-year warranty. Fiber-100% AVORA FR Polyester-Construction-Passes 30,000 Rubs Wyzenbeek Test method---Flame Retardant:-Inherently Flame Retardant---Testing Must Pass NFPA 701---Warranty-1 year. Black Out Lining: Black out lining material must be of white or off white in color and flame retardant. Product must be stitched to drapery material with acceptable industry standards and be waterproof. Support Equipment in Place. Government will ensure all furniture and appliances moved out of the way for contractor drapery installation. Contractor will be escorted to the dormitory room and allowed access to perform work. Security Passes. The contractor will be required to apply for vehicle passes through Pass and Registration (Bldg 232) and individual identification media through the 90th Contracting Squadron (Bldg 208). Upon completion or termination of the contract, or an individual?s employment on the project, the Contractor will retrieve the identification media issued above and surrender it to the Security Police, Pass and ID Section. All quotes will be inclusive of all costs. The following clauses will apply to this solicitation and will be incorporated into the award. The Government reserves the right to enter clauses into the award which are not in the solicitation with notice to the selected contractor.
