Description

DESC: 1005-01-003-5475, Part Number 12003047, the item to procure is the Rear Sight assembly which consists of Base Assy (12003056); Lead Assy (7267936); Spring (12003052), Scale (5013607), Riser (12003051); Plunger (5013155); Knob (6008809); Spring (5013154) and various hardware, for use on the M2 Machine Gun. The part is approximately 2.180 long X 0.780 inch wide made machined and formed from steel with a phosphate base finish and lubricating oil applied. Requirements will be a 5 year Indefinite D elivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a guaranteed minimum quantity of 7,000. Solicitation is issued as a Small Business Set-Aside, FOB Destination. A First Article Test and phosphate coating is required. Estimated issue date is on or about 14 Septemb er 2007. THIS DATE IS JUST AN ESTIMATE. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet: https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm. CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to r espond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid or proposal nonresponsive and result in the rejection of same.
