Description

This is a market survey to locate sources for a Tactical Fiber Optic Modem (FOM) NSN 5895-01-186-3665. The Fiber Optic Modem performs electro-optical conversion for full duplex transmission between the digital communications equipment within a shelte r by electrically interfacing through a MS27468T17B35A type connector and a Fiber Optic Cable Assembly CX-13295/G outside the shelter by optically interfacing through a Fiber Optic Bulkhead Connector. The FOM is to be built to Military Performance Specific ation MIL-M-49331. This is for a 5 year IDIQ, NTE total quantity of 325, first year guaranteed quantity is 85 each. NSN Part Number QTY 5895-01-186-3665 A3099781 85 Military Performance Specification MIL-M-49331 Suppliers capable of furnishing these units must so indicate, by writing to Commander, USA CECOM, ATTN: AMSEL-LC-COM-C-SS (BOCK), Building 1202W, Ft. Monmouth, NJ 07703-5000. The response must include documentation such as test results, copy of purchase or der if the supplier was a vendor to the listed source or a statement from listed source demonstrating that the supplier can, in fact, supply the Army with a unit that will be physically and functionally interchangeable with the unit from the previous suppl ier. Successful supplier may be required to warrant that the item supplied will satisfactorily perform when used for the purpose intended by the Army. The deadline for response is 14 September 2007.
