- ***********CONTACT MARY BRINKLEY ONLY FOR TECHNICAL OR QUOTE ISSUES, MARY BRINKLEY'S CONTACT INFORMATION IS IN THE BODY OF THIS SYNOPSIS/SOLICITATION************* NASA/MSFC has a requirement for Burn Stack Pilots for MPTA (JP32.1) test. SPECIFICATIONS: Pilot must be a minimum 8 ft in length Supplier must be able to supply additional 22 ft minimum of 12 gauge stranded wire (red, yellow, and brown) and one 12 gauge shielded flame detection wire (yellow). Each wire must have Teflon insulation and all wires enclosed in a gray FEP Teflon Jacket. Assembly must include coalescing filter assembly for clean propane supply Flame detection must be plasma resonance method of detection Pilot must be able to accept propane as fuel Pilot must operate at 4 standard cubic feet per hour max of propane Once no flame has been detected, pilot must reignite with ignition events every 5 Seconds for a duration of five minutes. Pilot control must have minimum 3 contacts for remote detection of flame alarm Pilot must accept a/c power of minimum 110VAC Pilot must accept ground, neutral, and hot (high) connections of 110VAC Pilot and terminal strips must be pre-wired Pilot ignition must be a micro flame front ignition located inside the pilot body Pilot controls must supply a green lamp indication of ignition events Pilot subassemblies must include a pressure gage with max reading of 60 psig Pilot must include (2) hinged brackets for mounting Pilot fuel supply connection must be 1/4" NPTF connection Control boxes must be weather proof Ignition events must stop once flame is detected Pilot must be supplied with dual gang boxes for terminal strips Note: Models: 8HR-FD-TS with subassembly components EPAD-5-110-TS-HUB, CFA-01, and wire model SM12-I-FD-G from Stackmatch Flare Ignition, Inc meets the above requirements This notice is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in FAR Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation, which is issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ); quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. Offerors are required to use the On-Line RFQ system to submit their quote. The On-line RFQ system is linked above or it may be accessed at http://prod.nais.nasa.gov/cgi-bin/eps/bizops.cgi?gr=C&pin= . The information required by FAR Subpart 12.6 is included in the on-line RFQ. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12 and the Simplified Acquisition Procedures set forth in FAR Part 13.
