Description
66-SERVICES NON-PERSONAL , REPAIR of Engine Pressure Ratio Transducer Appl: E-3 and E-3A. The contractor shall provide all labor, facilities, equipment and ALL MATERIAL to accomplish repair, test, packing, preservation and packaging and return to the government in accordance with the work specifications contained in the contract, the items of Air Force Equipment listed below. A Firm Fixed Price Indefinate Delivery/Indefinate Quantity (IDIQ) type contract is contemplated for a period of five (5) years. The resulting contract(s) will contain NO options however each year will be separately priced. The government reserves the right to make multiple awards. The Items and Best Estimated Quantities are as follows: CLIN 0001: NSN 6620-00-078-4470; P/N LG14C12 and/or 6620-00-078-4470, P/N LG14C20; Noun: Engine Pressure Ratio Transducer; APPL: E-3 and E-8 Acft; Best Estimated Qty First Year: 132 ea; Second Year, 63 ea; Third Year, 61 ea; Fourth Year, 44 ea; Fifth Year, 78 ea; MINIMUM Quantity for total contract period (Five Years) is 16 ea. and MAXIMUM Quantity for total contract period (Five Years) is 452 ea. Material: Non-Magnetic Aluminum Alloy. Dimensions: 10" L x 6" W x 5" H, Weight; 5 lbs. Description and Function: The EPRT senses jet engine inlet and exhaust pressures, computes a ratio between these pressures, and supplies a signal to a remote indicator. The instrument contains a pressure bellows, gear train, motor, synchro, and controlling electronics. CLIN 0002: OVER AND ABOVE WORK AS REQUIRED. CLIN 0003: DATA REPORTS IN ACCORDANCE WITH DD FORM 1423"S. Deliveries are to be made at the rate of 6 each per month beginning 30 days ARO and Reparables. Ship To addresses will be provided when serviceable assets are ready to be shipped. No telephone request. Only written or faxed request received directly from the requestor are acceptable. ALL responsible sources may submit a bid, proposal, or quotation which shall be considered. The following sources are currently considered to be approved small business sources: Professional Aircraft Accessories, Titusville, FL., Airtronics Inc, Tucson, AZ., and Strube Inc, Marietta, PA. Based upon market research, the Government is not using the policies contained in Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items, in its solicitation for the described supplies or services. However, interested persons may identify to the contracting officer their interest and capability to satisfy the Government's requirement with a commercial item within 15 days of this notice. QUALIFICATION REQUIREMENTS: Sources must be qualified prior to being considered for award. The solicitation will contain instructions for obtaining further information on this requirement. Award will be made only if the offeror, the product/service, or the manufacturer meets qualification requirements at the time of award in accordance with FAR clause 52.209-1. The solicitation identifies the office where additional information can be obtained concerning qualification requirements as cited in each individual solicitation (See solicitation provision 52.209-1). Note: An Ombudsman has been appointed to hear concerns from offerors or potential offerors during the proposal development phase of this acquisition. The purpose of the Ombudsman is not to diminish the authority of the program director or contracting officer, but to communicate contractor concerns, issues, disagreements, and recommendations to the appropriate government personnel. When requested, the Ombudsman will maintain strict confidentiality as to source of the concern. The Ombudsman does not participate in the evaluation of proposals or in the source selection process.
