- The NOAA, Acquisition Grants Office (AGO), National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration (National Environmental Satellite, Data and Information Service (NESDIS) Acquisition Division anticipates competitive proposals to acquire replacement receivers for the NOAA NESDIS Command Data and Acquisition Stations (CDAS). Solicitation DG133E-08-RP-0001 is set aside for Small Business. The Government intends to award a single contract for all hardware, integration development, installation and technical support, under FAR Part 12. The contract type will be Firm Fixed Price (FFP), Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ) with a five (5) year ordering period. The CDAS provides ground system support for Geostationary and Polar-orbiting satellite missions. There are two CDAS locations, which are in Wallops, Virginia and Fairbanks, Alaska. The existing L & S Band receivers, Microdyne 700 MR used by both CDAS locations are in need of replacement. The replacement receivers shall be a commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) product and shall not cause any redesign of the existing receiver?s interfaces and shall physically conform to each sites equipment rack allocations.
