- Description
- The Government instends procure a firm fixed price purchase order on a sole source basis with Vulcan Security Systems Inc of Norfolk, VA because installed the security system which contains parts in the system that are exclusive to the Vulcan Security System Inc. As required by the Training Support Center-HR Virginia Beach, VA the purchase order will be for Security System Monitor. The Performance Period for the resulting Purchase Order will be 01 February 2008 thru 31 January 2009 with 4 option years. The NAICS is 561621. The statutory authority for pursuing this action on a sole-source basis is 10 U.S.C.2304(c)(1), as implemented by FAR 6.302-1. There is only one responsible source able to provide the necessary service and no other contractor will satisfy the agency requirements. The solicitation and any subsequent amendments will only be available by downloading the documents at http://www2.eps.gov. This office will no longer issue hard-copy solicitations. By submitting a quote, the contractor will be self-certifying that neither the requestor nor the principal corporate officials and owners are currently suspended, debarred, or otherwise ineligible to receive contracts from any Federal Agency. Failure to so represent my be grounds for refusing to accept the quote. by submission of a quote, the offeror acknowledges that a prospective awardee must be registered in the Central Contractor Registration (CCR) database prior to award, during performance of the order and through final payment of the purchase order. Failure to register in CCR may make an offeror in ineligible for award. The solicitation will be posted on or 3 October 2007 and close on 15 October 2007. Number notes 22 applies.
