- Description
- The Office of Thrift Supervision (OTS) intends to replace multiple stand alone legacy phone systems with a centralized enterprise Voice over Internet Protocol (VoIP) system. To accomplish this task, OTS will conduct market research to identify potential vendors capable of demonstrating a VoIP system within a three week time frame with one of the three weeks allowed for the installation. The anticipated start date for the demonstration project will be the first week in November, 2007. The demonstration will be conducted in the OTS Chicago Regional Office located at: 1 South Wacker Drive, Suite 2000, CHICAGO, IL 60606. Interested parties must provide VoIP products that have been certified to run on a Cisco Systems network and the offeror must demonstrate recent successful experience running the product on a Cisco Systems enterprise network. Prospective offerors interested in participating in this market research project will not receive payment from the OTS and must be aware that participation in the project will not guarantee any future business should the OTS proceed with this initiative. The market research participants will be responsible for installing the proposed product, training five (5) users in the Chicago Regional Office, providing technical support to the OTS Chicago Regional Office users and to the program manager located in OTS Headquarters. Should OTS decide to conduct a competitive requirement based on the results of the market research, a request for proposals will be issued to only those participants in the market research. Any resulting contract awarded will be based upon Best Value Methodology including past performance. Interested parties must submit sufficient technical information for OTS to make a determination that the proposed VoIP product successfully runs on a Cisco Systems network. The technical information must be submitted directly to Illona M.Williams at Illona.Williams@ots.treas.gov. no later than 2:00 PM (EST) October 17, 2007.
