- U.S. Special Operations Command has a requirement for one (1) Multimedia Analysis and Archive System (MAAS). This is a sole source combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items published for informational purposes only and is the only announcement that will be posted. It is issued as Request for Quotation (RFQ) HK92222-08-R-0008. This combined synopsis/solicitation is posted as notification of the Government's intent to enter into a sole source award to General Dynamics Advanced Information Systems, Inc. under the authority of FAR 13.5 and FAR 6.302-1, Only One Responsible Source and No Other Supplies or Services Will Satisfy Agency Requirements. The Government will accept and evaluate information on potential sources capable of delivering the requirements stated below. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code for this acquisition is 541330, with a small business size standard of $4,500,000. Please identify your business size in your response based upon this standard. This solicitation is unrestricted. Specific requirements are: three (3) MAAS capable workstations, three (3) digital capture feeds, 30 days of storage for 24/7 data, software and hardware building and testing, personnel to install and test on-site (in theater), personnel to train on-site, 24/7 telephonic support for one year, and all appropriate licenses. The system shall be supplied within 45 days of order award. This notice of intent is not a request for competitive quotations; however, the government will consider all quotations/responses received by 8 Oct 07. This announcement is published for informational purposes only. No other solicitation documents are available. A determination by the government not to compete this proposed contract based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement. Interested parties may identify their capabilities by responding to this requirement, no later than 3:30 p.m. EDT, 10 October 2007. All information submitted should support the offeror?s capability to provide the items required, and shall be furnished at no cost or obligation to the Government. Responses must be in writing and must provide clear and concise documentation indicating an offeror?s bona fide capability to provide these items in the timeframe required. Verbal responses are not acceptable and will not be considered. Responses may be submitted via email if the total file size is less than 5MB.
