- Description
- The US Coast Guard Maintenance and Logistics Command Atlantic (MLCLANT), Norfolk, VA is procuring fuel for US Coast Guard Cutter Mackinaw, Sturgeon Bay, WI. This is a combined synopsis/solicitation for commercial items prepared in accordance with the format in Subpart 12.6, as supplemented with additional information included in this notice. This announcement constitutes the only solicitation; quotes are being requested and a written solicitation will not be issued. The solicitation number is HSCG84-08-Q-AA9223 and will be issued as a Request for Quotation (RFQ). The solicitation document and incorporated provisions and clauses are those in effect through Federal Acquisition Circular 2005-20. This is a Full and Open Competition, with a NAICS code 424710, and Small Business Size Standard of 100 employees. The Contract Line Item Number and description are as follows: CLIN 0001-Provide 60,000 gallons of marine grade diesel. Delivery is required on Monday morning, October 8, 2007, to the South Pier of Sturgeon Bay Shipbuilding, 605 North 3rd Avenue, Sturgeon Bay, WI 54206. Contractor must have capability to pump fuel over water. No DESC contracts available in the area. This solicitation will be issued in accordance with FAR Part 12, Acquisition of Commercial Items and FAR Subpart 13.5 -- Test Program for Certain Commercial Items. The provision at 52.212-1, Instructions to Offerors-Commercial, applies to this acquisition and is tailored as follows: (b)(4) Offerors should submit a technical description of the items being offered in sufficient detail to evaluate compliance with the requirement This may include apartment literature and technical features; (b)(10) Offerors should submit past performance information on up to 5 contracts that are currently in process or have been completed during the past three years (including Federal, State, and local government) which are similar to the work required by this solicitation. Information should include contract numbers, points of contact with telephone numbers and other relevant information. Offerors are advised to include a completed copy of the provision at 52.212-3, Offeror Representations and Certifications-Commercial Items, with their quote. The clause at 52.212-4, Contract Terms and Conditions-Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition. The contractor shall submit invoice via e-mail to Ms. Brenda Bartlett at Brenda.S.Bartlett@uscg.mil. The clause at 52.212-5, Contract Terms and Conditions Required To Implement Statues Or Executive Orders ? Commercial Items, applies to this acquisition, as well as, the following additional FAR clauses at 52.203-6, 52.222-3, 52.222-19, 52.222-21, 52.222-26, 52.222-35, 52.222.36, 52.225-13, 52.222-41, and 52.222-42.
