- Sources Sought The Western Regional Medical Command comprising of Medical Treatment Facilities (MTF) in Alaska (Bassett Army Community Hospital (BACH)), Washington State, (Madigan Army Medical Center (MAMC)), and California (Weed Army Community Hos pital (WACH), seeks the services of qualified Teleradiology firms to provide off-site professional diagnostic radiological interpretations and reports 24 hours a day, seven days per week, including Federal holidays, via teleradiology and to transcribe all reports into the Armed Forces Health Longitudinal Technology Application (AHLTA). Modalities include Plain Film/Comparison, Bone Densitometry, Screening Mammography, Ultrasound, Nuclear Medicine, Computerized Tomograph (CT), and Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), however, the emphasis is on CT, MRI, and Plain Films which average approximately 114, 55 and 34 per month, respectively. Stat services may be required. Radiologists providing services under any resulting contract shall be either a Doctor of Medicine or Osteopathy with successful completion of an approved residency program in diagnostic radiology. Each Physician shall be Board Certified in diagnostic radiology and shall be certified by the American Board of Radiology, American Osteopathic Board of Rad iology, or equivalent, in Diagnostic Radiology. Each Physician shall have a current unrestricted license to practice medicine in the State, District of Columbia, or the territories of the United States where the images are read as well the State in which t he MTF requiring the reads is located. For instance, a Physician physically located in Montana performing the interpretation for Bassett Army Community Hospital, which is in Alaska, must have a current, unrestricted license in BOTH Alaska and Montana. The contractor shall not utilize any radiologist licensed by or physically located in a foreign country. Each Physician providing services under any resulting contract shall be granted privileges by the Commander of the respective MTF prior to beginning work. Qualified firms are invited to respond to this announcement indicating, (1), your understanding of the license requirement as well as the number of currently available qualified physicians and the states in which they hold a current, unrestricted license, (2), your understanding of this teleradiology requirement and your capability to transcribe reports directly into the AHLTA system, (3), specific modalities read by your firm and estimated cost for each read and (4), an estimate of the timeframe in which y our firm could begin providing services under any resulting contract.
