Description
The Office of the Project Manager for Combat Ammunition Systems is conducting a market survey to identify potential sources capable of manufacturing and delivering 120mm High Explosive and Full Range Practice Mortar Cartridges. Potential candidates must have the production capability to provide a combination of up to 20,000 per month of both cartridge types. All facilities must have safety clearance to handle up to Hazard Class 1.1E Explosives/Hazardous components. It is anticipated that Composition B Explosive, adapters, fuzes, fins, shell bodies, propelling charges, and ignition cartridges will be provided as Government Furnished Material (GFM). Otherwise all other components are projected to be the responsibility of the contractor. All responding sources shall provide a summary of their company???s capabilities including organizations, name/address/point of contact identification, a description of facilities/equipment, manufacturing process, inspection capability, personnel, past experience as an ammunition load/assemble/pack producer or systems contractor, proven monthly production capacity and/or potential capability, possible partnering/teaming arrangements, and whether the company is a small or large business. It is also required to provide a point of contact, phone number, fax number, e- mail address, business size, taxpayer identification number, DUNS number, CAGE Code, and capabilities. All responding sources must submit their responses no later than 30 November 2007 to: Department of the Army ATTN: Wilson Au AMSML-AQ-CA JM&L LCMC Acquisition Center Building 9 Picatinny Arsenal, NJ 07806 Responses can also be submitted by email to wilson.au@us.army.mil. Large files need to be compressed using WinZip (http://www.winzip.com). All information is to be submitted at no cost or obligation to the U.S. Government and will be held in confidential status. The U.S. Government reserves the right to reject, in whole or in part, any input as a result of this market survey. The U.S. Government is not obligated to notify respondents of the results of this survey. This market survey is for information and planning purposes only and does not constitute a Request for Proposal (RFP), solicitation, or as an obligation on the part of the U.S. Government. This is not to be construed as a commitment by the U.S. Government. If a formal solicitation is generated at a later date, a solicitation notice will be published. No award will be made as a result of this market survey.
