Description

This synopsis serves as a presolicitation notice of the Governments intent to negotiate an Indefinite Delivery Indefinite Quantity (IDIQ)contract for Inserter, Gear, NSN 5120-01-153-2794, Part Number 12524031, Qauntity: 159 each for use on the M242 GUN. The item consists of a handle made from a ROD, AL ALY, 6061; shaft, MATL IS RODM carbon steel, C1010 TO C1020, and a body, MATL is bar, AL ALY 6061-T6. Approximate size is 5.55 inches high x 4 inches wide x 1 inch thick. Anodic & black oxide finishe s required. FOB is Destination. Estimated issue date is 17 December 2007. This solicitation will be issued electronically in accordance with FAR 4.502 and 5.102, therefore, hardcopies will not be provided. Vendors wishing an electronic copy may download it on or after the issue date by accessing the following address via the internet:https://aais.ria.army.mil/aais/SOLINFO/index.htm CAUTION: This solicitation will be issued electronically as will any amendments thereto. Because of this, the Government is under no obligation and is in fact unable to maintain a bidders mailing list. It is therefore incumbent upon any interested parties to periodically access the above internet address in order to obtain any amendments which may be issued. Failure to obtain any said amendments and to respond to them prior to the date and time set for bid opening/receipt of proposals may render your bid o r proposal non-responsive and result in the rejection of same. This solicitation incorporates a Technical Data Package (TDP) that cannot be provided via the internet. Vendors who need this TDP in order to prepare a bid or proposal are instructed to request same by submission of an email request to: ROCK-TACOM-tdp@CONUS.army.mil. Any said requests should contain the following information; CAGE Code (if available), Company Name, Point of Contact (optional), Street Address, City, State, Zip Code, Telephone Nu mber. A TDP will be provided by normal mail after the solicitation has been released to the internet. Note 1 and Note 12 apply.
