Description
The Department of the Navy, Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center - San Diego (SSC-SD) intends to issue solicitation No. N66001-08-R-0097, to procure two (2) complete NAVDDX RT&CS equipment racks that will support the next block upgrade of the Navigation Sensor System Interface (NAVSSI) system Block 4.3.0. These NAVDDX RT&CS racks shall be used by NAVSSI software developers and testers to support NAVDDX system qualification testing. In cooperation with SSC Code 232 engineers, the contractor shall modify the existing NAVSSI Block 4.2.1 baseline RTS hardware integration to satisfy the technical requirements specified in the NAVDDX Technical Data Package (TDP). The contractor shall supply the labor and materials (including tooling and test equipment) and facilities required to integrate, produce, assemble, test, and document two NAVDDX RT&CS EDM units in compliance with the requirements established in the NAVDDS TDP. SSC-SD intends to solicit and award a single award, Firm-Fixed Price contract. This procurement will be conducted as a full and open competition. The applicable NAICS is 541330 and the small business size standard is $4.5M. Selection will be based using the tradeoff process source selection approach defined at Federal Acquisition Regulation 15.101-1. All potential offerors are reminded, in accordance with FAR 52.204-7, CENTRAL CONTRACTOR REGISTRATION (JULY 2006) and DFARS 252.204-7004, ALTERNATE A (NOV 2003), lack of registration in the CCR database will make an offeror ineligible for award. The estimated release date for the solicitation is on or about 15 Nov 2007. Electronic copies of the solicitation will be available for download via the internet at the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page, Systems Center - San Diego, Open Solicitations, https://e- commerce.spawar.navy.mil/. The Government will not provide hard copy versions of the solicitation and any subsequent amendments. Notification of any changes (amendments) to the solicitation will be made only on the internet at https://e-commerce.spawar.navy.mil/ ; it will be the contractor's responsibility to check the website for any posted changes. All prospective offerors are encouraged to register for automatic e-mail notification of changes/amendments on the SPAWAR E-Commerce Central Business Opportunity Page website.
