Description
NASA/LaRC has a requirement for high speed data acquisition upgrade components that must comply with existing equipment in order to meet specific test requirements. NASA/LaRC intends to purchase the items from Precision Filters Inc. NASA requires upgrades for an existing Precision Filters 28000 Signal Conditioning System. The upgrades must be compatible with the existing hardware and software to ensure successful test results. These components include several Precision Filters 28454-F8500-BU4-6 quad-channel conditioners with constant current excitation, 4 pole Butterworth filters with programmable cut-off frequencies from 500Hz to 127.5 kHz with programmable AC/DC, BC4 bridge completion modules with configuration switches, BR4-100 bridge resistor modules, a Precision Filter 28316B-FX02-BU4 16 channel IEPE conditioner, and a 4 pole Butterworth filter with cut-off frequencies of 300Hz, 1kHz, 3kHz or 30kHz, and other supporting equipment. Precision Filters Inc is the only known source for these required upgrade components. The Government intends to acquire a commercial item using FAR Part 12. Interested organizations may submit their capabilities and qualifications to perform the effort in writing to the identified point of contact not later than 3:00p.m. local time on October 23, 2007. Such capabilities/qualifications will be evaluated solely for the purpose of determining whether or not to conduct this procurement on a competitive basis. A determination by the Government not to compete this proposed effort on a full and open competition basis, based upon responses to this notice, is solely within the discretion of the government. Oral communications are not acceptable in response to this notice. All responsible sources may submit an offer which shall be considered by the agency. An Ombudsman has been appointed.
