Description

THIS IS NOT A REQUEST FOR COMPETITIVE PROPOSALS OR QUOTES. NO FORMAL RFQ WILL BE AVAILABLE. THIS ANNOUNCEMENT IS FOR INFORMATION PURPOSES ONLY. THIS AWARD WILL BE MADE ON OR ABOUT OCTOBER 22, 2007 UNDER SIMPLIFIED ACQUISITION PROCEDURES. The U.S. Geological Survey, Water Resources Discipline, Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility, Stennis Space Center, MS, intends to award a sole source contract to SONTEK/YSI Incorporated for our Hydrologic Instrumentation Facility (HIF) at Stennis Space Center, MS, for environmental monitoring systems, water quality instruments, flow and velocity instruments, and related peripheral equipment. The HIF is responsible for testing, evaluating, and approving numerous types of instrumentation and equipment for USGS use, as well as for other Federal Agencies. The HIF routinely stocks a multitude of instruments which are supplied by a number of different manufacturers. The HIF's customer base determines the demand for equipment purchased and procurements are made accordingly. We are restocking the following items: P/N 1OPT-08023 (Quantity 1), P/N 1OPT-08904 (Quantity 6), P/N 1ASL-21501 (Quantity 10), P/N 1ASL-20500 (Quantity ), P/N 1ADV-4100 (Quantity 11), P/N 1OPT-08200 (Quantity 1), and P/N 1AXR-21500 (Quantity 3).
