Description
This is a competitive set-aside for 8(a) certified contractors. The scope of this effort is to provide logistics support for Marine Corps Systems Command (MCSC), Anti-Armor Systems Program Office (AAS PO) for the fielding of the Saber and the Javelin Block 1 Command Launch Unit (CLU) Systems. The requirements scope includes all logistics support for fielding of Saber launchers, vehicle modifications, training devices, Javelin Block 1 CLU and related support items. This requirement covers a five year period of performance. Logistics support also includes conducting all on-site training for operators, maintainers, and supervisors. FY08 requirements include all administrative tasks associated with execution of an integrated fielding schedule as it pertains to personnel, facility, and transportation of resources for the New Equipment Training Team (NETT). FY08 is the first year of a multi-year fielding effort that will eventually equip USMC active and reserve infantry an d armor battalions, Schools of Infantry (SOIs), Maritime Preposition Fleet (MPF), and various support facilities. System fielding will occur at several key locations throughout the Continental United States, Hawaii, Okinawa and OCONUS to include Iraq. Fielding shall also occur at forward-deployed locations where combat operations are underway. The North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 541614 - Process, Physical Distribution, and Logistics Consulting Services. The Contractor shall provide all labor, materials, consumables, equipment, tools, test equipment and transportation necessary to provide the logistics for fielding, perform training, and perform actions necessary for the vehicle modifications. The anticipated contract will be a firm-fixed-price (FFP) service contract. Initial award will be for a period beginning in January 2008. The RFP (M67854-08-R-1021) and any subsequent amendments/information will be provided via electronic means at ht tp://www1.fbo.gov/spg/DON/USMC/M67854/postdatePrevDays_1.html . It is anticipated that the RFP will be posted by 15 November 2007. This is not a request for proposals or a guarantee of forthcoming solicitation. It should not be construed as a commitment of any kind by the U.S. government to issue a solicitation. Any information provided to the Government in response to this RFI will become USMC property and will not be returned. All proprietary or classified information will be treated appropriately.
