- Description
- The Pension Benefit Guaranty Corporation (PBGC) intends to issue on a sole source basis a commercial contract with The Bureau of National Affairs, Inc. (BNA), to renew and maintain PBGC's license subscription. The proposed contract action is for supplies or services for which the Government intends solicit and negotiate with only one source under the authority of (FAR) Part 13.5. PBGC obtains through this service various publications including BNA's Bankruptcy Law Reporter, Daily Labor Report, Daily Tax Report, Federal Contracts Report, Government Employee Relations Report, and similar publications. A full list of reports is available by request. PBGC relies upon BNA publications/subscriptions for current news stories and court developments. Typically, pension or bankruptcy cases as well as related issues are reported in these publications earlier than in other news sources. The period of performance is for one year with two one-year option periods. This is a notice to award a sole source contract and is NOT a request for proposals. However, all proposals received with in ten days after publication of this synopsis will be considered by the Government. A determination by the Government not to compete with this proposed contact based upon responses to this notice is solely within the discretion of the Government. Information received will normally be considered solely for the purpose of determining whether to conduct a competitive procurement.
