Description

The Department of the Interior, National Park Service, intends to solicit competitive quotes for the replacement of six (6) boat lift systems at Gulf Islands National Seashore, Davis Bayou Area, Ocean Springs, MS and Horn Island and West Ship Island in the Mississippi Sound about 10 miles offshore. This procurement is unrestricted; all responsible sources, large and small, may submit an offer. DESCRIPTION: Contractor shall provide all labor, tools, materials, equipment, and transportation necessary to remove and dispose six (6) existing boat lift systems, and furnish and install four (4) 10,000 lb custom hanging boat lift systems and two (2) 7,000 lb custom roof mount lift systems. Lift systems shall be crafted of marine grade aluminum and stainless steel hardware to withstand a corrosive saltwater environment and ensure years of trouble-free operation. Estimated construction price range is between $25,000 and $100,000. Period of Performance is 60 calendar days. North American Industry Classification System (NAICS) code is 238990 and Size Standard is $13.0M. SYNOPSIS: A Request For Quotation is scheduled for public release on or about November 1, 2007. A PAPER SOLICITATION PACKAGE WILL NOT BE ISSUED. Interested sources may obtain the solicitation documents from the Internet via Interior Department Electronic Acquisition System -- Electronic Commerce (IDEAS-EC) website http://ideasec.nbc.gov. To bid this project the vendor must sign-in IDEAS-EC system using a Data Universal Numbering System (D-U-N-S) Number and Marketing Personal Identification Number (MPIN) and submit a e-quote by the bid closing date set forth in the solicitation. The acquisition will be conducted pursuant to FAR Part 13 -- Simplified Acquisition Procedures. The anticipated award date is on or about December 10, 2007 with Notice To Proceed to follow upon meeting surety and insurance requirements. END OF ANNOUNCEMENT.
