Description
This Request for Information (RFI) is the initiation of market research under Part 10 of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR), and is not a Request for Proposals (RFP). The Government does not intend to pay for any information furnished pursuant to this RFI. NAVSURFWARCEN Crane Division is seeking sources and requesting MARKET SURVEY information relative to testing of aircrew survival radio and strobe light batteries, strobe lights, and aircrew communication cables. For reference, test set AN/TS-23 is currently used to test strobe lights and associated batteries. The primary purpose of this market survey is to obtain product information for commercial off-the-shelf (COTS) equipment that can test the equipment listed below to determine a ?ready for issue? (RFI) status. It is understood that not all products may be supported. Batteries: BA-5368/U (LiMnO2, used in PRC-90-2 radio set) 1794AS0999 (LiMnO2, used in URT-33 beacon set) 1794AS0953 (LiMnO2, used in PRC-112 series radio set) Electro-Chem 3B0035-XR (Lithium Sulfuryl Chloride, used in PRC-149 series radio set) Saft LSH-14 (Lithium Thionyl Chloride, used in URT-140 beacon set) Standard ?AA? alkaline batteries Standard ?AA? Lithium batteries Standard ?D? Alkaline batteries Cables See MIL-DTL-22442 and detailed specification sheets (example MIL-DTL-22442/10). Strobe Lights SD-39/N Strobe light. Any interested company is invited to submit written information in response to this synopsis request for information including the following: A synopsis of total system capability and system technical information; ROM unit pricing for quantity between range of 1 and 100 and any government discounts available; Product Literature or Drawings; Maximum Rate of production per month; Production Lead Time for initial delivery and quantity for initial delivery; Term of Standard Warranty Available at no additional cost to the Government; Mean Time Between Failures (MTBF); if available; A summary of any relevant testing vendor has completed (i.e. submersion, shock, temperature etc.) and what platforms were used; if any; Comments / questions / clarifications on this RFI, and drawings, if applicable. Information regarding the Commerciality of the items, services and data to be procured (i.e. if the items are considered by vendor to be COTS or modified commercial items or non-commercial items); Any other terms and conditions not mentioned standard to the industry Define in detail Best Commercial Practice for packaging, which will be utilized by your company.
